I use very direct, solution-focused methods to help clients reach their goals. At the same time, I am a firm believer that a warm client-therapist relationship is essential to growth. I am a counselor who genuinely cares and who can help you make the changes you want in a completely nonjudgmental environment.
I am a big proponent of cognitive-behavioral therapy but am not limited to one approach. I also sometimes use a more psychodynamic modality as needed. I am trained in emotionally-focused marital therapy, solution focused brief therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
I specialize in relationship issues, including domestic violence and sexual abuse. Also, I am familiar with Jewish practices and beliefs across the religious spectrum.
