Ms.
I would like a therapist who uses the "DBT" approach; Pat Sumlin was my therapist with TherapyQ a couple years ago and helped a lot. I am post-retirement (58), dealing with aging parent, purpose of life, a changing significant other situation, and motivation issues.  I am an atheist and do not want spiritual counseling.  And I can't stand Donald Trump.

Hello Emily

I view people who need the DBT as been traumatized especially in their youth. I like the DBT approach because it offers many types of skills. If you think I can help, please send me an email.

Wishing you all the best,
Jan

Hi Emily,

I think that we could work together to achieve your goals. For one, I like It that are anti Donald and i do use DBT along with other approaches to therapy. I have also worked with change of life issues and acknowledge the challenges of helping an aging parent. Changes are clearly difficult, but making the road à little smoother by learning new ways to see and cooperate greatly beneficial.

Hello Emily,
I am very sorry you are going through these things.  I'm also sorry I don't seem to find the therapist that you asked for.  However there are many wonderful therapists here.  If you would look through their profiles, I am very certain you will find someone you would like to work with.  Thank you for reaching out.  Again, I'm sorry the therapist you're looking for isn't here.  If you would like to speak with me I am online now.  Take care   Stay positive.   Tracie

Hi Emily,

My name is Jennifer Cox, I'm a licensed professional counselor.  I have used DBT with clients and have seen the benefits.  Currently, have you been able to utilize the skills that Pat worked with you on?

I look forward to working with you.
